Combining her love of writing with her husband Herb's knowledge of southern history including the birth of the beef industry, the Chapmans co-authored the Wiregrass Trilogy, a series of historical novels set in the Florida Territory in 1835. This first in a series of southern pioneer stories about the Dover family was released by Pineapple Press in both hard and soft covers, and the second and third volumes were released by Whiskey Creek Press. Their fourth jointly authored novel, "The Blue Glass Candy Jar," a story of the Great Depression, was recently released by Whiskey Creek Press.

The Chapmans traveled the highways and back roads in their search for authentic details of what life was like for early settlers in the south. They enjoy traveling as they actively pursue the promotion of their books by speaking to libraries and civic groups throughout the south.

The Chapmans currently reside in Vero Beach, Florida. They have four children and eleven grandchildren, all of whom call Florida home.
